Ooh, that has ‘somebody will buy this who has no idea what the fuck they’re getting in to’ written all over it. Or you can do the right and noble thing by buying it to save that poor (well, soon to be poor) person.

Going to a place where it will never be able to hurt its owner ever again.

Even sadder. It’s probably just a dumb owner who got cold feet when they saw the repair bill and parts prices.

Rare, German, likely on its third who thought routine maintenance was filling the windshield washer bottle. Buy it there is no fail with this plane

Well, it’s not a Corolla that you can abuse to death without ever getting anything replaced and properly maintained.

I don’t know why but I’d buy it and swap a TDI v6 in it.

They’re selling it intact, and the keys are in it. I was tempted to take it for a spin.

The front suspension is flat in that picture. It’s either been sitting in that spot not running for several months, or it has a problem with the air suspension.

TBF though at $4k, I would totally buy this and find a way to change it over to a more reliable drivetrain.

Shoot, at $4k it could be made into the first lifted Phaeton....

You’re right, I have never read any horror stories about the 4.2L VW/Audi motor and its reliability.

I’ve heard horror stories, but they’re almost always about the later FSI motors, which are chain drive.

This one’s belt drive, and the timing belt only requires assuming the service position, not removing the engine.

If you were to part it out, you’d make quite a bit of money with all that... Front suspensions look dead though. If I had a garage, I’d buy it. Used spares are plentyful everywhere on internet since everyone end up abandoning them like that lol

Isn’t the 5 cylinder engine of the TTRS and RS3 transverse mounted? Other than that, it sounds brilliant.

Three Neons for the price of one Phaeton. I’m not sure which one will cost you less in the long ruin or be more reliable...
